Koda Bank
I led end-to-end design & ideation of the first AI-powered digital banking agent 'Koda Bank' in 2020 (pre-ChatGPT / generative AI boom), including breakthrough concepts such as: → Conversational AI (LLM-based customer onboarding) → LLM AI Chat (the first digital bank concept built around AI chat prompting)→ AI-Powered Insights (automated analysis and real-time notification system)→ Predictive Banking (spending habit algorithms) → Zero-UI Prototypes (voice-first interactions)
The challenge was ensuring privacy while maintaining an easy-to-use interface for the first ever digital bank based around chat and zero UI prompting. A truly revolutionary concept that allows users to interact with finnacial tools like never before.
To solve this, I began by mapping out how users would naturally communicate through chat, then designed a system that could interpret intent while keeping sensitive data protected. This required rethinking traditional UI patterns and replacing them with conversational flows, contextual prompts, and invisible guardrails that guided users without overwhelming them. To begin with, I had to figure out how to implement encryption models, data-handling rules, and interaction constraints that preserved privacy without compromising usability.
I introduced structured testing sessions to evaluate how users interacted with a zero-UI experience in real-world scenarios. Insights from these sessions informed refinements to the conversational logic, tone, error handling, and task flows.
Through iterative improvements, I created a banking experience that felt natural, human, and deeply secure. Allowing users to manage finances through chat and voice prompting with the same confidence and control they would expect from a traditional banking interface, but with far greater speed and simplicity.
